But the Bible reminds us that money-like almost everything else in our lives-is only temporary. In life’s unexpected storms, money can help us feel unsinkable. Scripture reminds us that whenever we feel like we don’t have enough, we should look at what we do have, and can never lose: the eternal love of God. When it comes to money, it seems like we can never have enough. Our sinful hearts always cause us to desire what we don’t have. If not, Scripture invites you to ask your heavenly Father to help you remain wholly dependent on him. As you navigate financial worries, pause and ask yourself if your heart is truly focused on serving God. Too often, we prioritize money and financial success and neglect our relationship with God. Jesus tells us that we can only serve one master. If you find yourself worried about finances, you might be living with money as your master. Make sure you’re serving the right master.
